The Elyos and Asmodian races in Aion each have their own set of Empyrean Lords to guide them. The leader of the Elyos is Ariel, the Lady of Light. She is the Arch Seraphim of the kingdom of Elysea. The other Empyrean Lords who stand by her side are: Kaisinel, the Lord of Illusion; Nezekan, the Lord of Justice; Vaizel, the Lord of Freedom; and Yustiel, the Lady of Life.

The Empyrean Lords

On the flip side, the Asmodians are led by Lord Azphel, the Lord of Shadow. He stands as the Arch Shedim of the kingdom of Asmodae. Like Ariel, Azphel also has some fierce companions: Lumiel, the Lady of Wisdom; Marchutan, the Lord of Fate; Triniel, the Lady of Death; and Zikel, the Lord of Destruction.

In addition to these powerful and influential Empyrean Lords, there are two special Dieties who served as Tower Guardians. The Asmodian Lord Israphel, known as the Lord of Space, and the Elyos Lady Siel, known as the Lady of Time, sacrificed themselves in order to defend Atreia during the Cataclysm.
